Machines With Human Skin - Adrian Halo:

I chose this track because it's such a weird and disturbing segue in the album and I wanted to sort of update it to reflect issues that students face in school nowadays, while still staying true to the original track and its meaning. Of course, sadly the first thing that popped into my head was school shootings. So I included samples of students talking about mental health issues and samples from school shooting drills, even a snippet of audio from the Columbine shootings, which I remember happening when I was in high school. It was pretty emotionally heavy to put together, but I felt it would capture the mood I wanted. I wanted to be a part of this compilation because I remember the first time I heard and saw The Wall and how it was so unlike anything else I'd ever heard or seen yet as a teenager just getting into music, and the idea of translating these songs into industrial music seemed really cool to me.
